This is a tutorial on how to run GBA games on your Ipod and or Iphone.

Items Needed
Jailbroken Ipod/Iphone
Windows Computer
Wireless internet
Winrar or another unraring(is that a word??) program.
GBA ROM files which can be downloaded here [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Winscp [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Ability to follow directions

What To Do *On the Ipod/Iphone*

1. Open Cydia (App that you get after jailbreaking)
2. Once it is done loading everything click on the search tab and search for OpenSSH, install that and return to Cydia.
3. Once back in Cydia click on the search tab again this time search for SBSettings, install that also.
4. After the springboard restarts (To finish the installation) Go back into Cydia and let it do its thing.
5. Once in Cydia click on the Manage tab then Sources.
6. Hit edit (Top Right Courner) then Add (Top Left Courner)
7. Enter this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] And hit Add Source, it is going to tell you that the community has deemed that this source contains illegal content or something along those lines if this bothers you then hit cancel and search for gpSPhone in Cydia and buy that, if not click add anyways.
7. If you bought gpSPhone skip this step if not then Return to Cydia and search for gpSPhone Cracked and install that.
8. Now at the springboard slide your Finger accross the top of your screen (Where the time is) and this nice menu should slide down. At the bottom of the menu it should say Wi-Fi IP Address:
9. Write down the numbers, you will need them soon.
That is everything that needs to be done on the Ipod/Iphone

What to Do *on the Computer*

1. Install Winscp, the download link is in the "What You Need" section
2. Download the GBA ROM files and unrar them, download links are in the "What You Need" section.
3. Now open Winscp and type that number that you wrote down in the "What to do on Ipod/Iphone" section into the Host Name text box
4. In the User Name text box type root
5. In the Password text box type alpine
6. Click login (Make sure the Ipod/Iphone is on and unlocked, for this i recommend changing the auto lock to never that way it doesn't lock up on you while you are doing this, you can change it back after this tutorial.)
7. A box should appear saying searching for host, connecting to host etc... if something pops up saying something about a key hit either copy key or yes either one works.
8. Now you should have something like this in front of you
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The left side is your computer and the right side is the Ipod/Iphone filesystem.
9. On the left side browse to the ROM files you downloaded and unrared. it should be called something like Game.gba
10. On the right side copy this /private/var/mobile/Media/ROMs/GBA then right click where it says /private/var/root and hit Open Directory/Bookmark and paste into the text box hit Enter.
11. Now on the left you should have your ROM files and on the right there should be something titled gba_bios.bin if all that is good then continue if not you did something wrong reread steps 8 and 9 in the "What to do on the Computer" section
12. Now drag the .gba file on the left over to the right, and hit copy.
13. Repeat this for all of the games you wish to play on the Ipod/Iphone
14. Once it is all done push F10 and hit Ok

Running the ROMS

1. On the Ipod/Iphone open gpSPhone and choose the game you wish to play
2. Choose the display you wish to play in and then play game
3. When you wish to save you can't do it through the normal game option you must click the menu button (not the in game one the one that looks like the A and B button) and hit Save State To New File ONLY if it is your first time playing that game if it isn't then hit Save[Currently Loaded]...
4. To load a game that you have saved via the above instruction open gpSPhone and click the saves tab and load the game that way.

Thank you so much for this! There was a problem adding the source to get the cracked gpSPhone, but there was a free gpSPhone available from someone else.

I didn't have the bios file either, but I just googled gba_bios.bin and copied it, and it worked great!

Now I can waste all of my battery playing Fire Emblem :D

10/10 for the tutorial
