Ubisoft has held beta tests and free trial weekends for Riders Republic to stress test the game over the past few months. Capcom's best selling game ever continues to be an absolute juggernaut. Monster Hunter World has now shipped and sold over 20 million copies, which is very, very impressive. Xbox Game Pass attracted fewer new subscribers last year than Microsoft had targeted. According to a financial document filed by Microsoft last week and spotted by Axios, the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers grew by 37.48% during the 12 months ended on June 30, but the company had targeted an increase of 47.79%. Electronic Arts is creating a new studio focused on first-person shooter games, with one of Halo’s co-creators on board. Marcus Lehto, who co-created the Halo franchise at Bungie and performed both art director and creative director roles, announced on Twitter that he’s joining the start-up developer as a game director.
