Locked doors will present a short mini-game for you in order to break through them. Pull back on the Right Stick, then try to time pushing back up on the thumbstick so that the moving white line falls in the dead space in the middle. There is a bit of a delay, so push up maybe at either 30% or 70% depending on if the line is moving up or down at the time.

There is a door in the prologue that you can try on repeatedly by reloading the first checkpoint, though there are dozens of these throughout the game including the one in the video below.
