Now, most people have heard about the sandbox game "CastleminerZ" on the Xbox 360.

If you havn't already, I reccommend buying it. You can download it for 80 Microsoft points by going into the Xbox Live marketplace, categories, indi games, and select castleminer Z. The game is basically Minecraft, but with zombies and dragons.


Now, when you start off on survival, I reccommend bringing a buddy with you. It makes the game TWICE the fun, and allows you guys to gather resources faster, trade resources, build faster, etc etc.

Anyway, you should start off with a few basic items.

1) A compass. If you are aiming to go as far as you can in the game, you want to use the compass and follow the green arrow.

2) A Stone pickaxe. This is very vital to surviving, you will use it to get most of your resources. For example, if you wanted to make an axe for cutting down trees, you would need the pickaxe to mine some iron, coal, and woodden sticks to get it. Pickaxes get slower the better the mineral you are mining. That's why it's important to upgrade your pickaxe often.

3) A Pistol. Obviously used to kill zombies that appear at night time. There are other guns in the game, such as rifles, shotguns, and assault rifles.

4) Bullets. The bullets are obviously used for the guns. The better the gun, the stronger the bullets will need to be. For example, if you have a bloodstone rifle, you will need Diamond bullets to use it.

5) A stone knife. Normally, knives are VERY good in this game, surprisingly better than you would expect. They have a very long range (Surprisingly). But the stone knife is aweful, and it only takes up inventory space.

Now that you know this, it's time to go set up a house. Equipting your pickaxe, you should find a mountain, and start digging some stone. After you have about 6-8 stone blocks, go up to a tree and start cutting it with a pickaxe. (Sounds weird, but it's true.) You can turn 1 log from a tree into 4 peices of wood, and 4 peices of wood into 16 wooden sticks. There's an average of 6 logs per tree, so you don't need very much of those.

After you get the stone, make some wooden sticks. You only need a couple.
Go back up to the mountains, and try to find some coal. Coal is not too hard to find, and appears jet black in the rock.

After you have the coal, stone and wooden sticks, open up your inventory. Go over the wooden sticks, and press Y. You should be able to create a stone axe. Create it, and start cutting down as many trees as you can. (Don't worry about the leaves, they go away eventually.) Turn the logs into wood, and start building a home with the wood. Zombies can actually jump VERY high, so it's important that you build a roof.

Zombies come at night, and they can be pretty strong. Most of them will die in a few hits from the pistol. After a day ends, you should cut down your house, and take the wood with you as you travel north. The zombies get harder the further you go, and the biomes change.
The order of the biomes are:
1) Temperate Forest (Where you start)
2) Desert
3) Large Mountains
4) Pre-hell
5) Hell

The game can be really fun if you try to do it legitamentally.
