The Fallen Quest
------------------------
After you defeat Alduin and he flees you need to find his lair. You need to talk with Paarthurnax, Arngeir or Esbern.
It doesn't matter which you speak with (Paarthurnax is right next to you at the end of the fight), as they all point you to speak with the Jarl of Whiterun to use Dragonsreach to trap one of the dragons and find out how Alduin is getting back and forth to Sovngarde to feed on the souls of the dead.
Travel to Whiterun and speak with the Jarl and tell him you need to trap a dragon in his palace. He won't allow it unless you can get the Greybeards to host a peace council between the Stormcloaks and Imperials. This starts the Season Unending quest if you have not finished the civil war line of quests (Stormcloaks & Imperials)
Season Unending Quest

Travel to High Hrothgar and speak with Arngeir. Ask him to host the peace council. Next you must speak with Ulfric Stormcloak and General Tullius. Travel to Solitude to speak with General Tullius. Tell him about the peace council and that we need a truce until the dragon menace is dealt with. Keep speaking until you can convince him to come to the peace council. Travel to Windhelm to speak with Ulfric Stormcloak. Have a similar conversation and convince him to come to the peace council. Now return to High Hrothgar and speak with Arngeir.
Make your way to the council table and take your seat. You've got a handful of decisions to make, it doesn't seem that you can fail this quest, so make your decisions and ultimately get a truce declared.
- Choose whether or not to allow the Thalmor to stay.
- Ulfric wants Markarth, General Tullis wants Riften or Winterhold.
- General Tullis wants compensation for the massacre at Karthwasten.

Speak with Esbern to learn the shout that will call Odahviing. Delphine then gives you an ultimatum, the Blades will no longer help you until Paarthurnax is dead. Travel to the Throat of the World and speak with Paarthurnax who tells you he can be trusted.
Travel to Whiterun and speak with the Jarl to lay the trap for Odahviing. Go to the Great Porch of Dragonsreach, head out to the end and use the Call Dragon shout three times. When Odahviing appears use your Dragon Rend shout on him. Back up towards the entrance and the dragon will follow you, eventually getting trapped. Now interrogate Odahviing to learn where Alduin is hiding. The dragon offers to fly you to Skuldafn in exchange for his freedom. This ends The Fallen quest and begins The World-Eater's Eyrie.
