Make the Hall of Fame in MyCAREER mode.

I'm not sure if you've seen my posts in prior years on how to "boost" for MyCareer (formerly known as MyPlayer). Well, here we go again!

If you dont know it already, whatever roster you have loaded up when you start MyCareer is what carries over into it. So, the key is to have a roster altered to your advantage. I (along with ChadilacChavez) went through the rosters of each team, lowered all the player's attributes to minimum, made their heights 5'3", and adjusted other things as well:

1. Gave them all 5 year contracts with no trade clauses (this ensures the majority of players stay on the same team in subsequent year(s))
2. Made the majority of their abilities (dribbling, shooting) poor
3. lowered shot tendency on all types to 0 except for 3 pt shots, made that a 99 (ensures they basically jack up nothing but 3s when playing them LOL)

So, you need to download the roster. You can download it by searching my gamertag (at the download rosters screen, click on Y to search by gt). The roster is named "Midget MyCareer. Once you download it, save it. Once you save it, again make sure you load it before starting your MyCareer.

In regards to the roster file itself, I have the Timberwolves as the stacked team, because it is one of the easiest teams to potentially get drafted by (9th pick overall, which obviously within the lottery teams). When I say stacked, all the players are 99s, with the exception of the PGs, because that is the position I always do, and I dont want to be stuck on bench behind 99 rated PGs, so I also minimize them out as well. Whatever position you want to play, I would recommend you do that to your target teams players for that same position. If are going to try for a different team (dont try for Cavs and 1st pick, it wont happen), you can either go through and max out the players for that team (remember to minimize the T-Wolves players though) or just trade all players from T-Wolves to the team you are going to target.
Go ahead create your MyCareer player. Again, I always do PG, because I find that it is easiest to make the Hall of Fame with (can easily do it in two seasons). So, I created the MyCareer PG (I always do all-around).

You will now go onto Rookie Showcase. You will see that all the players will be 53 and slow and horrible. Now, with me targeting the Timberwolves (again 9th pick) as my team, I worked on getting a lower A rating or high A-minus rating. Obviously the better rating you get, the higher your draft potential (In my first attempt to get Cavs, I scored 60 points, had 20 plus assists and 18 steals, best I got looked at was Phoenix (at 5th pick).
BIG TIP: I know in the past some people have had trouble with the steals. I highly recommend you play on 2K camera view (where the view is going from top to bottom). To get steals, I give the opponent a chance to inbound the ball, then try to stand where you think his path is going to. Just use the stick to get in front of him and click X to make the steal when you are directly in front of him (do not run to make the steal because more often than not youll get called for a foul, and try to minimize reaching from behind him to make steal, same thing).

Now, you will go to the interview process. You will be interviewed by 3 teams. The goal is obviously to be drafted by your target team (again, mine was the T-Wolves). Do a good interview with them, saying the right things, and give the horrible answers to the other 2 teams (expressing you are not interested in what they have to offer).

If all goes well, you will be drafted by your target team. Now, you are on your stacked roster, and all the other teams have the midgets with horrible stats. Obviously this is not an exact science, so if you do not get drafted by your target team, exit to dashboard and start over (have to play Rookie Showcase again).

OPTIONAL STEP HERE: This is not a requirement, however, I did this once I was taken to the MyCareer menu. I maxed out my players attributes, and knocked out a few achievements (Now Playing, Come Fly with Me, NBA Cares, Everyone is Special, and Some More Special than Others) before even starting (the ones that are related to buying something) by buying VC (50,000 VC for $9.99).
You have the ability to get 5 signature skills tied to your player. I highly recommend two of them:
Pick Pocket make it level 3 this helps out your stealing tremendously. Before I used that signature skill, I was getting 20-27 steals a game. Afterwards, I was getting 50 steals a game.
Gatorade Performance Pack this helps your stamina tremendously.

Now, Im not sure what the HOF requirements are for other positions, but here they are for PG:
Record 1000 steals
Win MVP
Win NBA title
Win Scoring Title
Lead league in Assists
Finish in top 10 in Scoring, Assists, and Steals
Get 50 A+ Teammate Grades
Break Single Season Record (Pts, Rebs, Ast, Stl, Bks, 3pt) EASIEST IS THE STEALS RECORD
Record 25 career triple doubles

Make Conference Finals twice
Record 2500 Assists
Get selected to 5 All-Star Teams
Make Playoffs 4 times
Record 250 career double doubles

The first 9 are obtainable in the first season (yeah, you can get the 1,000 steals in the first season, I do it every year). You should only have to play the 2nd season to just get to conference finals. Once you are at 9/10, then do the key games only and intentionally foul out to get them to over quicker.

I played 40 games in the first season, 10 minute quarters on those, and got about 80-100 points, 30-40 assists a game, and 40-50 steals a game. Try to get as much as you can by the end of the first season, because each subsequent season will have less and less of the midget players on the rosters. I found after the first season, that each team generally had 2 normal players on their roster.
Once you have gotten to the Conference Finals, the last Hall-of-Fame requirement should be gone, you can then retire (no need to play any further).

If you have any questions, please let me know.
