It appears that PS3Crunch has received a legal notice from Sony’s lawyers to remove what graf_chokolo has distributed on their site. The legal notice request that all links and downloads are to be removed from the site. On the legal notice, it says that Sony is suing graf_chokolo for the sum of one million Euro. Here’s a quickie but a goodie. Big news on the Call of Duty front today; Activision’s sent over a set of dog tags (in readmore) with a link to the website findmakarov.com. Sony has confirmed that it was present at the police rading of German PS3 hacker 'Graf_Chokolo'. A rep was on stand-by at his home, and the police seized the PCs and PS3s of the hacker. Interestingly enough, the hacker uploaded his files to the online hacking community prior to the raid. So his investment work will live on.

According to third party rumors, Sony is 'deep' into developing a brand new 'hack proof' PS3 SKU. The 'unnamed' sources have also claimed that the respective 'hack proof' model will include a 300GB hard drive with an incentive driven price of around £186.99. Well that price appears to be pretty 'cheap' within the UK market.

A brand new Battlefield 3 video just hit the web showing us 2 minutes of gameplay from the single player campaign! It features the footage we saw in the teaser trailers and the screenshots we’ve seen, with a Middle eastern setting. We finally get to see it for real this time. And it looks great! Second trailer is slate for March 16.

A federal judge has dismissed all the claims brought against Sony for removing OtherOS for the PS3, except one. The claim that still remains is that Sony violated the Computer abuse act that makes it unlawful to make 'unauthorized' changes to hardware. Apparently, the judge has allowed the plantiffs to have another go and refile their claims in an amended manner. What a nice guy!

The UK Official PlayStation Magazine has lent credence to speculation that Modern Warfare 3 will be a prequel starring fan favourite character Ghost. The mag's informants strengthen a rumour which first reared its head online early in January. YouTube has posted a job listing for a “Game Console Software Engineer,” which could be a hint of its plans to expand to game consoles in much the same way Hulu Plus and Netflix have.
