Guilty Gear Strive Reveals New DLC Character And Stage

Guilty Gear Strive's next DLC character is none other than Bedman, who will be added to the game as part of the Season 2 content on April 6, Arc System Works announced during the Arc World Tour 2022 Finals event. The publisher also confirmed that the game's third season is now on its way out.

The new character will be available to all Season Pass owners when it comes to the game early in April. Bedman will function as a single character along with Delilah, his younger sister who serves as a minor character within the series. Arc System Works also revealed a brand-new stage for Season 2, called Fairy's Forest Factory, which will be available to purchase separately for $1.99 USD. The short gameplay trailer showcases Bedman in action, giving a brief idea of the abilities that players will gain mastery over to dispatch her enemies.

Bedman first appeared as a playable character in Guilty Gear Xrd-Sign, and he has become one of the fan-favorite fighters with his contemptuous attitude. He excels at identifying enemies' weaknesses and breaking their spirits by uncovering truths. Apart from his personality, Bedman has an effective skill set compounded with his stamina and intelligence. He also uses a modified machine that allows Bedman to move in sleep. Spinning its hands to function as blades, this machine can shoot spikes and projectiles while regenerating itself.

The character has a unique Deja-Vu mechanic, which makes him a tricky and versatile fighter against adversaries. Bedman can spin like a top while charging forward, as he can also launch himself upward and inflict damage by dropping the whole weight of the bed on the opponent. In addition to his ability to teleport short distances, Bedman is able to use his dream manipulation technique to create a mage-hound out of nowhere. Lastly, Bedman creates a cloud of gas shaped like a sheep to deal damage to enemies upon contact.

Bedman is the third character included in the Guilty Gear Strive Season 2 Pass alongside Sin Kiske and Bridge. Players can either purchase the season pass for $24.99 or add Bedman to their roster separately for $6.99 USD. The latest entry in the fighting series arrived on Xbox consoles last week and received an update to allow crossplay between PC and PlayStation platforms.
