Forward Motion is Lift
The first step to flying is actually getting in the air! You will need a long stretch of clear and level ground to gain the speed needed for take off. If your aircraft doesn't have enough ground clearance to gain sufficient lift, you will more than likely crash and burn.
How to
Use W on PC or Up on the Left Stick for Consoles to throttle up. If the runway comes to a drop off at the end, and you gained enough speed, you will lift off. However, if the ground keeps going, you will need to point the nose of the jet upward to lift off -- also known as pitching up. Remember, up is down and down is up in aircrafts. Use S on PC or Down on the Right Stick for Consoles to pitch up.
