50 EA games going offline due to GameSpy shutdown
EA's efforts to transition its GameSpy-based games have been in vain, after the publisher revealed 50 of its titles are going offline once the matchmaking service shuts down. Tropico 5 trailers reveals series first multiplayer modes
Kalypso Media's upcoming sequel to the Tropico series has been revealed to be packing some multiplayer goodness that has been shown in a new trailer. Battlefield 4 Community Test Environment rolls out on PC
DICE has open up a public testing environment for Battlefield 4 Premium players, you can opt into this program via Battlelog and downloading the given client. The testing environment is currently only slated for the PC platform but DICE has posted that they hope findings from it will be utilized across all platforms.

WildStar starts open beta this week through May 18th
WildStar is entering open beta Thursday of this week, May 8th, and will run until May 18th. The open beta will run for 10 days total and is toting an increased level cap, level 30, alongside two new abilities and ability slot; with the level 30 cap comes the usage of tier points. Wildstar officially launches on June 3rd for the PC and is open to pre-order.

Defiance MMO going F2P in coming months
Just over a year ago the video game based on a then new tv series was just rolling out expected to dazzle gamers; the dazzling sadly did not occur. The Defiance MMO was poorly received by gamers while the show has held steady in it's rating netting it renewal for another season. Hellraid re-announced for new platforms
Techland, the developer behind Hellraid, has formally re-announced that their dungeon crawler that was previously only coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 is now landing on both next-gen consoles alongside PC. Techland has also announced that the title has moved from Chrome Engine 5(used in Dead Island) to the newer Chrome Engine 6(being used for upcoming zombie sandbox game "Dying Light").

Minecraft reaches 15 million sold on PC
The original, PC version of Minecraft recently reached 15 million in sales, according to a tweet from the game's creator, Markus "Notch" Persson. The game passed 14 million sold on PC in early February, and hit two other sales milestones on other platforms this month: 12 million copies on Xbox 360 and 21 million for the Pocket Edition on Android and iOS. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare starts growing on PC June 24th
PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare oringally launched earlier this year for the Xbox platform and is finally slated for PC launch via Origin on June 24th. When the plant based online shooter goes live this June PC gamers will be treated to all previously released DLC freebies that Xbox gamers already have.
