Defiance MMO going F2P in coming months

Just over a year ago the video game based on a then new tv series was just rolling out expected to dazzle gamers; the dazzling sadly did not occur. The Defiance MMO was poorly received by gamers while the show has held steady in it's rating netting it renewal for another season. The game is slated to go F2P starting in June for the PC and a month later on the PS3 while the Xbox 360 version has no pinned down ETA.

Existing players will receive a slew of goodies for their support thus far:

  • Boosts to skill, XP, scrip, salvage, and reputation gain rates that stack with the matching boosts available in the store.
  • 10% store-wide discount – boosts, costumes, lock boxes, all of it!
  • A grab bag of one-hour boosts or Arkforge from Daily and Weekly Ark Hunter Bonus Lock Boxes. Console players will need to link their account to acquire this bonus.



The first of Defiance's new crossover storylines is coming to Defiance in the coming weeks,” said Trion Worlds in the announcement.

The world of Defiance is rocked when the hope of Tranquility, the first Earthling-Votan hybrid on record, lies dying in Eren's emergency facility. As players track down the half-human and half-Irathient crossbreds medical history, they'll quickly discover other forces are working to cover them up for a dark purpose.

That's a valid point. But dont you think other may enjoy it? Or is it just terrible in general?


it is terrible in general, I've bought it Day 1 played it for like 2-3 hours and never touched it again.


It's never reallt appealed to me either but hey ho.


Oh well, at least people now know that it's not worth spending money on, thanks.
