Hayssam Keilany – the modder behind the iCEnhancer mod that GTA IV’s Liberty City into somewhere that, occasionally, stretched into the realms of photorealism – has been working on a GTA V version of his iCEnhancer mod. Rockstar Games has reassured everyone that single player PC mods will not get you banned. Only those who use mods that have a negative impact on GTA Online will lead to players being banned. In a Q&A on the Rockstar Newswire page, Rockstar has stated that their modding policy has not changed and that no one has been banned for using single players mods and they never will be.

GTA 5 modders have made a dream come true, adding a gravity gun to your arsenal of mayhem-causing weaponry. GTA 5 isn’t ready for this. A new patch for the PC version of GTA 5 was released yesterday and, as it turns out, has wiped the ability to use mods with the game. Players of GTA Online on PC are reporting getting banned for using a number of different mods. The GTA 5 PC sub-Reddit is filled with posts about users getting banned, with confusion over whether cosmetic mods are just as bannable as those that give the player an unfair advantage.
