Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Has Increased Console Sales

According to Xbox Head Phil Spencer, backwards compatibility is boosting Xbox One sales as demonstrated by the great month of June for Microsoft. Backwards compatibility has been announced at E3 2015 and is now in beta, only available for those who are part of the Preview Program.

Based on what Spencer said to a fan, it looks like many Xbox 360 users were only waiting for this kind of news to "make the jump" and buy a new Xbox One for their home gaming.

Curiously enough, later on another fan tweeted he and his three friends have traded in their Xbox 360 for Xbox Ones, and Spencer personally said thanks to them in sign of appreciation.

Backwards compatibility is bringing 100 Xbox 360 games on Xbox One when it launches this fall, and by holidays the program will make another 100 titles available for fans to try.

It does not surprise me at all. I mean, many people do not want to upgrade to a xbox one because they would have to buy many games all over again.

Who is we/? some people just dont care about call of duty that much and im one of them there alot of better games that should come before any of the other call of duty games, and there are only 2 cod games i wouldnt mind thats is Cod 4 and Cod waw.


there is a huge list of games being voted for on the xbox website and all the cods are in the top 20 at least. Black ops 2 was in the lead so thats what he means by we.

Sirenfall Just bought one myself not due to the backwards compatibility mainly because I wanted thew new to buy Black Ops 3 haven't played since Black Ops 2.


As the games go that was a smart thing to do xD
