White PS4 to be available standalone following Destiny bundle launch

Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that a standalone version of the Glacier White PS4 will be available in Europe later this year.

While the white PS4 will initially only be available as part of a Destiny bundle releasing in September, Yoshida told French site GameOne that it'll also be available on its own before the end of 2014.

Sony announced the white PS4 Destiny bundle at E3 in June. It will include the console, a white DualShock 4 controller, the game and a 30-day voucher for PlayStation Plus. A price wasn't confirmed.

PS4 sales topped seven million units as of April 6, according to Sony, and PlayStation's European boss told CVG at E3 that he thinks Destiny will be the PS4's biggest system seller.

Publisher Activision will launch the Destiny beta on July 17 for PS3 and PS4 owners, and on Xbox platforms later in the month.

Whey It looks alright in my opinion. The only problem is the it will show any dirt, however the black will show dust .. Bith have downsides but I would go for the black console if I was to choose.

Realistically your console will only collect dust... I couldn't see it getting dirty... lol

Wish they bring out exclusive pre order consoles, or first day specials or something! Now, special consoles are brought out way after initial release, and are usually cheaper :(

A white ps4? Eh color doesn't really matter I just like when the consoles used to have skins from games like the Gears of War 3 skin for the 360 because honesty if you put tape over the vents and buttons you can just spray paint the system yourself

I like how they've waited to release it, gives people more incentive to buy it. Wish they would have released a white xbox one, I would have definitely bought it. Would also be cool if they had a trade in where you could trade your black for white or vise versa.
