.NET Google API library paving way for Google on Windows Phone

4.5
Google announced last week that they had released a .NET API library seemingly as a first major step to getting Google services as a whole on the Windows Phone platform. The project is reportedly an open-source endeavor hosted at NuGet. The library allows developers within .NET to integrate either desktop or Windows Phone apps directly with Google services, the current library implementation features 50 unique APIs for the various Google services. After the past icy working relationship between Google and Microsoft this can only be seen as a positive step moving forward.

You can have your hand at fiddling with the .NET API library here.

VIT My older brother bought one yesterday, the phone is tiny, it's smaller than the iPod touch. Also the shape is very thin and slippery, I wouldn't get it for myself just for that.

So because your brother bought a small windows phone, you wouldn't get one? And it is slippery? Nice reasons.

Anyway...anyone who is interested in windows phones. They are great for their prices. I have bought the Nokia Lumia 521 (the $99 phone) this phone is meant for people who can't afford paying $200+ for phones. This phone was great, yes it is limited, but for a test drive of Windows Phones it is good. I then bought the discontinued Lumia 810, which in my opinion is great also.

Limitations are the Windows Store. But they are getting there.
Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat/Vine are all here.
Pandora/Shazam is too.
Kik/Skype.

Let me say Nokia HERE Maps is best GPS system I ever used.

Anyway, I know these phones, and I know androids, and I would pick these over androids anyday. The OS is just very fluent imo.
I don't take interest in iPhones because I feel they are too pricey for what you actually get.
