.NET Google API library paving way for Google on Windows Phone

4.5
Google announced last week that they had released a .NET API library seemingly as a first major step to getting Google services as a whole on the Windows Phone platform. The project is reportedly an open-source endeavor hosted at NuGet. The library allows developers within .NET to integrate either desktop or Windows Phone apps directly with Google services, the current library implementation features 50 unique APIs for the various Google services. After the past icy working relationship between Google and Microsoft this can only be seen as a positive step moving forward.

You can have your hand at fiddling with the .NET API library here.

I really don't see why so many negative comments on the windows phones? Which ones did you guys test out? And was the problem that, "oh it doesn't have good apps?" Because if so, they are getting there. Android started with a low amount of apps, that is how markets work. Also, they have a lot of the major apps, even if by 3rd party, that are also full featured. So, I don't know of any problem. Because for the price and what you get it is worth it. A new OS that is so much more fluent than anything I have ever used. I love the OS.
