Xbox One controller working on PC due to modder

4.7
A tinkerer, Lucas Assis, has developed a tool and posted a video detailing how he was able to enable a Xbox One controller to function properly on a PC. Lucas has stated that he intends to make a Mac and Linux version available sometime in the future. This solution should only be seen as a stopgap until Microsoft officially provides drivers for the Xbox One controller on PC.

Anyone keen on trying the tool out will need to download this RAR file and follow the steps shown in the video.

It works, and it works great, but it's not really that easy to install. It involves installing another two programs, both which are open-source and adware free.Lucas Assis

Anyone who wants to install this workaround will need to download this file and watch the video below for complete instructions.

Official support from Microsoft for the Xbox One controller on PC is slated to be released sometime in 2014.

daRealRush Microsoft should've been able to have integrated this into PC's. But no they didn't so, this guy had to do it. He must be pretty smart in-order to do this.

You think MS can not do this? Maybe they have other complaints to work on instead of this. Something that no one will really use anyways.

I for sure will be using this.

Cant wait.

TheTechGoon No use for me, I actually dislike the xbox one controller, I prefer the mouse and keyboard.

I do too. I prefer it for everything except racing games and platformers. I don't see an advantage to using this over a standard 360 controller though?

I personally don't like the feel of the xbox one controller (without the scuf grip) from the Scuf Gaming Company.

That's pretty cool. Might try it out when I get an Xbox One. Always tried to get my PS3 controller working on my PC and it took me forever to finally get it working.
