Xbox One direct Twitch streaming still a few months away

When is Twitch direct broadcast coming to Xbox One? Not for a good few months yet, the service has warned.

In a tweet, Twitch said it’s still waiting on Microsoft.

“There is no ETA at this time from Microsoft. Expect a few more months. If we know sooner, we’ll update,” a representative said.

Meanwhile, native Twitch streaming on PlayStation 4 has become hugely popular, to the discomfort of detractors of Sony’s focus on easy socialisation.

The Xbox One does have its own native video sharing service, which allows users to edit videos and upload them to Xbox Live.

G37 I wonder if it will still be laggy like the xbox 360 livestream on Black Ops 2. It would always buffer for me and then go live and then buffer again.


That's your connection buddy, I never had a problem with twitch on the 360, expect for a few times when my family was all using the internet.

Mumps I think PS4 did a good job having it available at launch unlike Xbox One.
yeah, i know a bunch of people who chose the ps4 because of that/

WeAreAnonym0us It doesn't really bother me what they do because I am not really into the Twitch thing. But it would be cool if they did go ahead and direct broadcast.


Direct streaming isn't even that much of a big deal imo.

If they do have this in the next coming months I'm sure the quality will be awful and any ad revenue you receive through this some percentage will be taken by Microsoft.

interesting i called them up 2weeks ago and they would not release any upcoming changes. i hope this does go ahead soon.
