Xbox One direct Twitch streaming still a few months away

When is Twitch direct broadcast coming to Xbox One? Not for a good few months yet, the service has warned.

In a tweet, Twitch said it’s still waiting on Microsoft.

“There is no ETA at this time from Microsoft. Expect a few more months. If we know sooner, we’ll update,” a representative said.

Meanwhile, native Twitch streaming on PlayStation 4 has become hugely popular, to the discomfort of detractors of Sony’s focus on easy socialisation.

The Xbox One does have its own native video sharing service, which allows users to edit videos and upload them to Xbox Live.

remember you need a good upload speed to livestream though

im guessing that the quality of the streams wont be as good as a external capture card, but who knows

It has seemed pretty useless on PS4 so I don't think it will be that good on the one.

I never have used twitch or watched someone stream, not sure I'd be to interested in this :/

Hm, I've never really used Twitch, willing to give it a go though. Hope it doesn't take to long. :)

I thought I heard around the release of the Xbox One that twitch streaming would be available to Xbox One users in February but I could be wrong. I would much rather wait though than have them release a unfinished product.

Hopefully they are able to release it sooner than what they expect!
