View your photos and videos at Xbox One's launch using SkyDrive app

4.8
Microsoft announced that the SkyDrive app will launch with the Xbox One on November 22. SkyDrive, which was added to the Xbox 360 in December 2012, allows players to view and share personal photos and videos on the home console.

The cloud-based service will work with the Xbox One's snap features, so players can use Xbox Music in tandem with SkyDrive to set slideshows to their own soundtrack on the TV. Microsoft's announcement blog also notes zooming and panning controls, specifically noting that players can zoom in to 4K resolution photos of places like city landscapes and sports arenas. Now if the matching Kinect voice command for such a feature were "Xbox, enhance," we'd be totally sold.

FibreOp Look at that ugly VCR under the TV... Oh wait, that is the XbOne? Say whaaaa???

Why do Sony Fanboys even bother to comment on Xbone articles?
Are you that jealous of how good the Xbone is?

Thlack Maybe we could store game data in the cloud and have the launch apps on the dashboard? If every game is as massive as it is then there is going to be a big storage problem. If I have to buy a 1tb external USB I'm gunna cry.

I don't think you should cry.
It would only be another $50 ontop of the $500 you already paid.

There will likely be something like this in the future. Just save up money for it in advance.

Or you could just spend the $50 to buy another HDD to put inside of the console instead of an external HDD.

NDSU I don't think anybody will want to share their Photos and Videos.

There are some pretty odd people that play Xbox that will share photos.
Probably the "girl gamers" will enjoy this feature as well.

Lavish I don't know why people use a gaming console to store personal pictures and videos in the first place.

That is what social media or a computer is for.
Well, they do want to everything to it, being the all-in-one entertainment system...

I think people should invest in a laptop over a Xbox One for things like this.
