E3 2013: Pre-order the Xbox One, get an achievement

Earlier today, Microsoft announced that Xbox One. The price was set at $500, and many are worried and do not believe it is worth it. With this in mind, Microsoft have decided to throw in some extra rewards for people who preorder the new Xbox. Once you preorder the console, you automatically get a day one achievement when arriving on your Xbox. This is no word on how much gamerscore the achievement will be worth.

The other thing they are offering when you preorder is a limited edition Xbox One controller. We do not know what the controller looks like yet, but we will hear more news about it in a few weeks or so. The package also contains "Extra Care," basically extra packaging so your console is guaranteed to be in top condition.

Will these extra gems have an impact on preorder sales? We will found out soon.

JSxD34GLExMD I'm pretty sure the limited edition controller just says "Day One 2013" in the middle. There is a picture of it when you go to pre-order the console on Gamestops website.


God you were right, it's going to be engraved on the 'high-quality' precision made controller tested 1000 times over in order to get the 'perfect fit'

So much for the special edition...

X-Box is just desperate for sales at this point. But I don't think the PS4 matches the X-Box one in anyway.


You guys are stupid. The achievement isn't meant to be a gift for buying the console on the first day. It's to show who actually bought the console on the first day when u go to check someone's Gamerscore.

Both consoles look good, flaws in both of course. Seeing as these are the beta stages of both consoles, that's expected. Microsoft > Sony when it comes to console exclusives this time around though. The Halo 5 shocker alone was probably enough to boost sales. Anyways, while everyone is around fighting to the death over which is better.....

I'm just sitting here waiting for nintendo.
