E3 2013: Pre-order the Xbox One, get an achievement

4.5
Earlier today, Microsoft announced that Xbox One. The price was set at $500, and many are worried and do not believe it is worth it. With this in mind, Microsoft have decided to throw in some extra rewards for people who preorder the new Xbox. Once you preorder the console, you automatically get a day one achievement when arriving on your Xbox. This is no word on how much gamerscore the achievement will be worth.

The other thing they are offering when you preorder is a limited edition Xbox One controller. We do not know what the controller looks like yet, but we will hear more news about it in a few weeks or so. The package also contains "Extra Care," basically extra packaging so your console is guaranteed to be in top condition.

Will these extra gems have an impact on preorder sales? We will found out soon.

liamcole123 Just to stir thinks up here, the PS4 is faster! It uses a faster type of RAM which will increase loading speeds but not to a really noticeable extent!

The Xbox One will have many exclusives, (not just Halo, Forza and Fable) DLC early for games like Call of Duty (Even though the game is terrible) a much better controller, a better design in console and to top it off it will have Minecraft!

Over to PC, PC has processing power that consoles will never step up to, has games that can handle over 500 people at the same time, has way better graphics, gives control to the consumer as games are fairly easy to modify and to top it off, has a much better version of Minecraft!

The reason, I don't prefer PC is that if you don't want to have a bad gaming experience then you will need to spend alot of money. Most of the time $1000+ and I'm guessing it's also quite expensive with the U.K.'s currency. Console's on the other hand are almost guaranteed to handle any game you play ( because they have been optimized for the consoles )

You have been looking in the wrong places, you can get a high-end gaming PC for roughly 500 if you know where to look (Legally too) and that PC will last you a few years easily supporting CPU and GPU straining games at high quality!

Oh and by the way, they aren't "Optimized" for consoles as that would mean they have to make it better for consoles to run it, they have to make the game slower and less demanding for consoles to run it, not sure of the word though.

OK well to all the people in this forum that either a Sony or MS guy we can pretty much agree that PC's may have better specs but they cost more and you can't have a group of people playing a game on one pc. Also to all you kids who say you can get a good gaming pc for 500 dollars good luck with that. Even you build straight from scratch which most people are not going to do it will still cost more than a gaming console that will work perfectly fine. So yeah kind of tired of PC fanboys coming onto console topics and posting hate because they don't have anything better to do.

I'm not hating and I'm not a PC fanboy, I've been with all sides, Playstation was the boss with PS and PS2, Microsoft did it best with the Xbox 360 but the new consoles are just out of hand!

Oh and I meant 500, not dollars, don't assume it's in your currency and most people with the smarts generally do build their own PC from scratch as it's much cheaper and feels more like their own. Mine was built for about 400 and is a high-middle-end PC, can run almost every game at above 80 FPS on full graphics! Oh and who actually still plays split screen (Unless it's with a little brother/sister) PC is generally preferred by adults as it's easy to **** up a PC if you don't know what you're doing!

Fans So spending 500$ = x amount of an achievement.. Seems like a great gift from X-Box

Yea and all the other awesome ****! This will be the **** station

X-Box is just desperate for sales at this point. But I don't think the PS4 matches the X-Box one in anyway.

c2g_Krypticzz Everyone is just hoping on the PS4 Bandwagon tonight. so what they have some stuff the Xbox One doesnt. The Xbox One will have stuff the PS4 wont either. If you owned a Xbox and Xbox360/Slim i highly doubt you will change to Sony that fast. This goes for Sony fans going to Microsoft. Another thing is that some of this stuff may change within the next 3 or 4 months

Bandwagon? Really? If the Xbox One is going to be $500 and the PS4 is $400 I think most people have a reason to go to PS4. Face it, the Xbox One is just an overpriced console with a little more features. All-in-one? Yeah it's called Direct TV and a PS3. Blu-Ray, Netflix and television, wonderful. Welcome to 2010. Many more reasons to switch to PS4. I don't really think this is a 'bandwagon' situation.
You fanboys don't seem to understand do you? We have more features than you but your all just that butt hurt that you start complaining. Also, don't see Sony pulling out any exclusives for you, do you? :)

Butt hurt really? I have been a proud supporter of Microsoft since 2003 and your trying to call me a fanboy. Yeah that's bullish*t. Just because you have rich parents to buy you everything doesn't mean you can just go around claiming your better than everyone. Everytime Microsoft announces something about the Xbox One its usually bad. I can just start naming why the PS4 will overthrow the Xbox One this time around.

JSxD34GLExMD I'm pretty sure the limited edition controller just says "Day One 2013" in the middle. There is a picture of it when you go to pre-order the console on Gamestops website.

God you were right, it's going to be engraved on the 'high-quality' precision made controller tested 1000 times over in order to get the 'perfect fit'

So much for the special edition...
