Microsoft to discontinue the Gold Family Pack

4.3

Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that they have discontinued the popular Gold family pack. What this means for current Family gold pack customers is that their family center settings management suite is still available for them... at this time.

When asked why this bundle which for just $99.99 gave the user four year long gold subscriptions they responded the following:

"We continually evaluate our business focus and work to offer services that make the most sense for our customers and Xbox."

c0dm0dz I never really saw the point of it anyway. Kids under 17 shouldn't be allowed on anyway especially 10 year olds. When I was ten I watched Recess and played Mario Kart, those were the good ole days.

This...

That exploit is probably the main reason Gaysoft is getting rid of the bundle. People exploiting the lower price for 4 accounts of gold on one bill which evens out to 25 bucks a year from four different people.
