WWE Game License Acquired by Take Two

4.5
The era of THQ wrestling games is over. Reports say that THQ's license to make WWE games has been bought by Take Two entertainment, parent company of 2K. At this time, it is unclear as to the amount which Take Two purchased the license for. All negotiations appear to have taken place outside of THQ's formal auction process.

Most of THQ's assets are being sold on to different companies and publishers, which are now pending court approval.

WWE 2K14?
Doesn't sound right but looks like that's what it'll probably be called.

ExoticWolfs I use to watch and play the games, but once you get older, you find out they are really gay.

I played those games mainly for the crazy (stuff, you know the word) that would happen. 'Tis was fun.

RGlll It's a shame THQ has been making these games for awhile, but maybe Take Two can change it up and make it an even better game.

I agree, I used to thoroughly enjoy WWE, from the PS1, to the PS2, and then to the Xbox 360. It will be interesting to see whether Take Two do indeed decide to continue the series, and if so, what changes they may make.
