WWE Game License Acquired by Take Two

The era of THQ wrestling games is over. Reports say that THQ's license to make WWE games has been bought by Take Two entertainment, parent company of 2K. At this time, it is unclear as to the amount which Take Two purchased the license for. All negotiations appear to have taken place outside of THQ's formal auction process.

Most of THQ's assets are being sold on to different companies and publishers, which are now pending court approval.

phlegm TQH did great with WWE, like smackdown vs raw. This kinda sucks.


2K could possibly bring something fresh and new. They could possibly do it better than THQ.


Looks like we'll have to wait and see if they can, but THQ did great. I remember Smackdown vs. Raw, that had to of been one of the best games of my childhood. It sucks that THQ went bankrupt though, they made some really good games.


SVR was great. I loved playing that too. I will miss THQ and hope that 2K does something right.

I remember liking SvR 2008 and 2009 when I was younger.
