Well I am going to be graduating high school pretty soon and I really want to move out. I plan on getting an apartment with my buddy. We both have steady jobs with money in the bank. Rent is 1275 per month. What would you guys suggest?

i dont see the point in renting all your doing is paying for somthing you will never own, stay at home untill you have enough cash for a deposit and a mortgage then once you get a mortgage have your friends move in with you charge rent and when their old enough to move out and have a place of there own they would have paid off half of your mortgage happy days

If I were you, I'd wait a few months until you have a good bit of extra money saved up.

If you want to and you have the means do it. But make sure you can handle it, it is a big move.

I have a little under 10,000 dollars saved up. Already have my own car and make 1,600 a month at my lowest.

In a year I'm probably going to get my apartment with my girl friend.
Like you and your buddy, we are both seniors and have good enough jobs to make it on our own happily.

What you have to realize is that if you're not ready for it and go into debt, it can really mess up your future.
When you're ready, plan it out as much as you can and make sure you get renter's insurance!

If you want to, go for it. You're not making any huge commitments by buying a house or something, you're just renting. And since you're still young, if it doesn't work out it's not that bad to move back in with you're parents until you get back on your feet.

If you have accounted for getting to work, paying bills, buying food, paying rent then go for it.. I am at home and I make very good money for my age ($15/hr) and moving out has not even crossed my mind.
