Isn't the title rhetorical? A good job is what will shape how people look at you and how much you are respected. Besides. Do good in High School and you can do something you have fun doing in collage!

The point is to get more people educated so we don't have ignorant people in this country or planet, to keep us busy not in gangs that we would otherwise all be in, and to further improve our society.

I HATE shcool, but I have no problem with it being here I actually prefer it than to something like working in a factory or farm 20hrs a day

I've been graduated for nearly 2 years. Not once have I had to use any of the things they taught me in highschool math/algebra. I have used elementary and middle school math, but none of these pointless formulas and whatnot. I see the point if you are going to be a math teacher. Even then you are just repeating the pointless cycle.

Iv never attended any type of education or parents to help and turned out ok, If people have the opportunity to go to school they should, You can get through life with out it but it does help to have qualifications.

Zetro wrote i honestly dislike people like you..

without school in this world you would probably not know how to type or even talk.. or know what 5x5 is and be a dumass for the rest of your life.. yah your probably some 13 year old hating on school because its everyday yah boo hoo but school pretty much makes you.. if you think about it they teach you how to respect respect others you learn. you find a JOB because of SCHOOL.

It seems like you're the one who needs school more than anybody here. You don't even know the right your, or you're to use.

I don't fully agree in what you're saying but at the same time i do

There are some subjects that shouldn't be mandatory,

: Algebra (Topic not subject) there is no need for it 1. Because half the population don't have a bloody clue what it is, Most jobs don't require you to use it

History, Completely pointless How many times in a day do you get asked when was Charlie Chaplin born?

Different Languages: Nice to have not needed, If you had the Dying desire to speak french you would am i right?

Religion: I can't say that word with a straight face, If you believe in it all good for you, By why is it a forced subject

English: People are going to get mad because i mentioned this subject, What im not saying "Herp derp why do we need to do something we already know" What i am saying: Why do you need to learn Creative writing & Poetry? Completely useless

Music: If you want to Pursue a career in music go ahead, But why should the people who wan't to be a build for example why should they have to attend the class?

Science: I really don't need to know how many bones a frog has

PE (Physical education): If you wan't to be a fit person Energetic all that jazz go ahead run around a field in shorts like a spanner be my guest, But the people who want to sit in the warm with a burger they should have to be forced to do it

I run out of subjects D:My point is there shouldn't be so many lessons forced on people,

Ignore the bad grammar, Two days no sleep & had a hangover the complete time

Besides entertainment, whats the point of video games?

Besides buying stuff, whats the point of money?

Besides breathing, whats the point of oxygen?

Besides typing, whats the point of a keyboard?

Besides opening and closing, whats the point of a door?

Besides wearing them, whats the point of clothes?

I can do this ALL day.

I like school... And it gives you more variety in the job world. Say, for example, like you said finding out how many cells there are in a burger; there could be a job for finding this stuff out to do with cholesterol or whatever. Just my opinion I feel school gives you an insight on other jobs and ways of looking at things.

some things in school seem pointless at times, but you might need that knowledge in the future.. especially because it is highly unlikely that you are going to do 1 kind of job your whole life after school
