In the UK we get to pick what subjects we want to do so we choose what we want to do relating to what we want to be when we're grown up.

There is no point to school besides your future. The reason they teach you all those subjects, is so you will be prepared no matter what career you decide to go in.

School is to give everyone a fair and equal chance to learn what they need to succeed in what they want to do in life. Someone who plans on going to college to study history and become a history teacher will enjoy history classes, and in their case, learning when Einstein was born would be beneficial to them. School is just to prepare the general population for everything they could possibly need when they go to college or in whatever career choice they make. when you go to college, you can pick what you want to learn, until then, you're stuck learning about atoms.

Honestly, I don't mind school,

Just certain subjects and teachers.

I'm 18 and work at the local mines here and I'm still in high school yet I have one credit and I'm a senior. to me I didn't need it and I still get paid 33.50 an hour. But If i did plan on graduating than I could make more.

School readies you and actually takes you onto the more exciting and mature path of what's called a job. Employers don't want some post-pubescent non-skilled worked with the maturity of their own 11 year old son, with less common sense of the before mentioned, I have to agree I haven't learnt the majority of my skills at school but it does definitely help and I have seen it help many of people around me.

School is where you get your friends from.

Besides your family, school is probably one of the most important things.

Your in 9th grade though, we all went through the I hate this phase. Wait till you get to 11th and can take awesome classes. Im in physics and ap literature and German III and programming, photo digital editing, auto cad, and study hall and stuff like that, you go beyond the boring classes and hopefully will have fun ones to look forward to. And when you get old enough to drive and get a work permit (dont know your laws on age) you will find yourself a lot happier.
