Diazepam wrote I don't see why you are determined to get an i7 when the i5 is just as good but without Hyper-Threading. Honestly you are just wasting money if you buy an i7 which could go into a better GPU, unless you are actually going to be using the i7 for its benefits then yes it would be worth it but from a few of your topics you are just wanting to play some games.

It's partly for show :p

But I probably will get the i5-3570k and the 660ti or a 580 3gb

So you're willing to spend an extra $100 to get the same performance but be able to brag about it just because it's an i7? Wow.

Money is not a limitation,I just want to know whats right for what I want, like I know too much ram will limit CPU overclocking ability so I don't want too much ram and I know fsx doesnt run good under some gpu, like the gtx690 best card around at the moment probably but fsx runs better on a gtx 680 than the 690

That's fine if you don't have a limitation but it's just a waste if you aren't using it for its full potential.

If you do decide to go with the i7 just for 'show' then that really is just money well wasted.
