This is a simple tutorial on how to make a custom pattern for use in Photoshop. For this tutorial I am using Photoshop Cs6.

For this tutorial I will be making a 100x100 circle pattern as an example.

Making the Pattern:
    - Make a new file with a transparent background, and the dimensions you want the pattern to be. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
    - Make the image you want to be repeated as the pattern, keeping in mind that the edges will touch eachother (top will touch bottom, right will touch left) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
    - Go to Edit>Define pattern Then name it what you want. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Using the pattern:
    - Make a new file
    - Right click the background layer and click "layer from background" [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
    - Double Click to the right of the layer.
    - Click the Words "Pattern Overlay" [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
    - Select your new pattern from the dropdown menu [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You're done.
If you made a Circle pattern like I did you will now have this. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
