Steam algorithm changes are “killing indie gaming” according to one developer affected by a recent change in the way that Steam recommendations work. Valve has been hard at work figuring out a new way to decide which games get shown to potential customers, and it seems that a number of indie developers have been caught in the crossfire.

September is halfway done and just as planned Microsoft has made available two more free games for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members as part of Games with Gold. Three classic Dragon Quest titles are headed to Nintendo Switch later this month. Starting September 27, Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luinaries of the Legendary Line, and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation – three retro releases that originally launched in 1986, 1987, and 1988, respectively – are coming to the Nintendo Switch.
