During its E3 press briefing, Sony Interactive Entertainment predictably announced a firm release date for its upcoming virtual reality headset, PlayStation VR.

The headset, that until now simply came with an “October 2017” release window, will now ship on October 13th in the United States.

SIEA CEO Shawn Layden also reminded us on stage that fifty games will be available for the headset at release.
