E3 2016: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC

4.6
It was leaked earlier this week, and probably more than a few gamers saw it coming anyway. During its E3 press briefing Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Definitive Edition for PS4 and Xbox One.

The game comes out on October 29th, and brings back the latest The Elder Scrolls game in a shinier guise, unless you’re a PC gamer, on which case your Skyrim probably already looks as shining as it can thanks to a million of mods.

The good news is that following Fallout 4’s example, mods will come to consoles even with this new remaster, even if there will certainly be more limitations compared to the PC version.

Holy ****. Am I excited. Once again, another fall wave of games that will destroy people's wallets. I really think Bethseda is the only company that actually listens to their customers. So hyped

Why even bother putting it on PC.. that version is fine. Not buying this regardless, Skyrim never actually caught me for an excellent game that it was said to be by most.

I am really exciting for skyrim coming out on the XB1. I loved this game and can not wait to play again. Especially with mods.

THQ Skyrim should not have been remade. The game still looks good on 360 and PS3 and looks even better on PC as it does on the remakes. Why wouldn't they do an oblivion remake is what I ask myself

True. They could've just made it backwards compatible but I really don't care. Pre-ordering ASAP.

After fallout 4 disappointing me for some reason I just don't think I am going to throw my money to Bethesda like I have before. They put a lot of work into it, but I wish they kept the karma and factions and the NCR. I'll just sit in the dark and play fallout new Vegas for another 6 years I guess lol I'll just wait until the remake of Skyrim is on a good sale. Or just play it on PC.

I can see what you mean, but Fallout 4 wasn't exactly a RM, I'm assuming and 'hoping' that the things changed in Skyrim RM aren't as drastic as NV to FO 4, but then again, you can understand why because it was a completely new game. As long as the graphics, sounds and few minor things are improved but major things aren't changed, I don't see a problem and see how this could mess up. No need for mods IMO either, Skyrim was made pretty much perfect in my eyes. ;)

Yeah yeah yeah, totally agree with you. New games need new stuff. Nostalgic factor just over ran me and I am just un susceptible to change. I am sure sky rim will have very minimal changes being just a remake, I was just saying before FO4 I would have bought anything and everything bethesda because I loved everything they made, but post fallout I just stopped. I'm becoming less keen to these remakes of games only a few years old. Oh well, it will cope many people for another year until ES6 is announced

With nearly 1500 hours on skyrim I'd rather have seen something about a new elder scrolls because ESO really isn't that great and there really isn't anything left to do in skyrim even with mods.
