Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 closed Alpha kicks off for PC mod tools

If you signed up for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PC modding tools closed Alpha, you mind want to check your inbox.

It was announced last last month the closed Alpha would start soon.

Treyarch said today it started sending out invite to chosen members of the PC modding community.

The developer said the “incredible amount of testing and iteration” for the tools will help “lay the foundation for an open beta.”

Once the results of the Alpha have been analyzed, the open beta will go live in the “following months,” which means a timeframe hasn’t been set.

Back in November, Treyarch announced it would offer modding and mapping tools to the community. The last game to offer map making tools was Call of Duty: World at War.

Hmm this is interesting, I hate the game anyway its so bad but if I was a PC gamer id like to see what the mods are like, I guess ill just have to look it up on YouTube or something when it kicks off and see what mods there are.

I can see why they released this and are planning to get the community more involved, but I don't think the modding possibilities will ever be as successful as World at War on PC. We'll have to wait and see.

Seam will be interesting to see what the modding community can bring out, but the game is such a piece of crap i wont be that bothered.

i understand what your saying but this is a chance for the modders to make the game better
