Microsoft Debunks Xbox Next Rumor

Xbox neXt is not the name – or codename – for a future Xbox console, but in fact an old internal team name associated with Xbox One, Microsoft has told IGN.

"Xbox neXt was an old internal team name for a group that worked on releasing Xbox One and is not related to a future console," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "We have nothing further to share."

NeXt may not be a new piece in the Xbox puzzle, but many onlookers will still be expecting Microsoft to make a new Xbox announcement at E3 in June.

It may not be what was previously thought, but no doubt they are still working on something, a company look that will constantly be working on new consoles, tech etc.. Thats just the way it works.

Hope they don't have any new consoles anytime soon, I've only had my One since December and I ain't tryna buy a whole new console again.

Xerath It took them YEARS to release a brand new console. Let this one ride it out for a bit.

Good thing this generation is already 3 years old too. This generation's consoles have been somewhat disappointing in terms of creating classics or creating new franchises. Plus it's always good to be innovating something.

I hope they don't release a new console so soon. I just got my xbox one less than a year ago and I would hate to have to buy another one that quick.

It would be really stupid for them to release another console so soon. It took them YEARS to release a brand new console. Let this one ride it out for a bit.
