Destiny April update increases max Light, adds new PvE challenges

The promised Destiny: The Taken King spring update will roll out on April 12, Bungie has announced.

Update 2.2.0 has previously been described as the biggest content drop since the launch of The Taken King in September 2015, so you can expect a great deal more than the likes of Sparrow Racing and Crimson Days delivered.

Bungie will be detailing the update in Twitch streams every Wednesday for the next three weeks (see Bungie.net for the schedule) but here’s the executive summary:

New PVE challenges
New and updated Gear
New quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike
Increased max Light and rewards
Sandbox and Crucible Updates
“And more”

And then of course there’s an expansion on the cards, after that. Into The Pit came up via iTunes shuffle just as I saw the update news today and I reacted by taking The Division out of my disc tray and throwing it across the room. Long live the king.

I'm really excited for the spring update. There hasn't been too much for me to do lately on Destiny, so some new content will be awesome.

Yet another attempt to bring back an old audience of a now dead game, I haven't had any enjoyment out of this in a very very long time. Same repetitive shit over and over again.

I feel that this will bring some people back to destiny. Some players are maxed out on all characters and have no reason to play it. Hopefully destiny will come back, but it needs some work and new content.
