Gears of War 4’s Campaign Runs at 1080p, 30 FPS, 60 FPS Multiplayer

If you’re curious to know how fluidly Gears of War 4 will run on Xbox One, The Coalition Studio Head Rod Fergusson answered that question today on Game Informer.

Fergusson mentioned that the game’s campaign runs at 1080p, 30 frames per second, while the multiplayer runs at 60 frames per second.

When asked whether the game will ever be released on PC or not, Fergusson simply answered “possibly.” If you want to play the game at higher resolution and frame rate on Windows 10, there’s a chance.

omg. this is why i didnt play GOW UE campaign. It was ONLY 30 FPS ffs guys. my laptop can handle this shit better smh. wont be playing campaign

my guess would be that they're finally figuring out how to offload gpu computations to the cload and seeing how there's a bunch of people already connected to servers it'd be quite efficient to use for multiplayer. or that the single player has much bigger/expansive and detailed environments for showcasing and it can't keep single player at 60fps

Ive always been a fan of GoW, I loved the GoW series and I'm hoping I'm going to love this GoW, 1080p Campaign sounds so sick I cannot wait I love campaigns/Single Player on games.

Seam I look forward to hearing more info. A lower FPS however should make for some more crazy gameplay. Hoping this isn't another GOW: Judgement


I have faith in The Coalition. I think they did a fantastic job with UE. It's a mix between Gears 1 and Gears 3 if you ask me. Only problem I have with it is lack of dlc maps.
