Modder Discovers COD: Black Ops 3 Campaign On Xbox 360

4.6
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a rather strange release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as it lacks any proper single player campaign as well as split screen co-op. It is also the first game in the series that won’t run at 60 fps. This won’t be surprising though as the game appears to lack plenty of content that is included in the PC, PS4 and Xbox One version of the game.

Recently, one reddit user NeonDiscovery managed to mod the game files on the Xbox 360 to gain access to the single player portion of the game. It confirms that the single player campaign was in consideration at one point during development but it was simply ditched and the work was shifted to just the multiplayer. He also shared two different screenshots from the sp campaign on the Xbox 360, and they definitely look unfinished and ugly.

The modder confirmed that the campaign was unstable on the Xbox 360 and barely managed to run at 30 fps. The screenshots seen below also reveal that it was unfinished, but it was perhaps considered at one point during the development.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 runs at a variable frame rate on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It also only includes the multiplayer and apparently won’t get much support in term of future DLC. It was released at a retail price of $50.

I don't really understand how the 360 couldn't handle the game. I mean even after the game has been downgraded alot, the graphics shift from somewhat okay to COD 2 graphic that's a pretty drastic change if I do say. Now Let's get this straight BO3 you can now run on walls, choose select specialists, small maps, choppy gameplay, one zombie map, few guns to choose between, matchmaking is horrible, and shit attachments. Doesn't sound very powerful of a game to me just sounds unstable and not worth releasing. You can do more in advance wrfare and that game runs smooth as a baby's ass. Bottom line is saying the game was too powerful to run on the 360 is just a lazy excuse for them saying we didn't feel like making it run in a cleaner fashion.

I don't understand the point in them not putting the campaign in the oldgen consoles..

I wish they would of included it on 360 and PS3. But I understand they want everyone to switch to the new gen console.

And those pics of the campaign are ugly.

vLuna Tbh, its nice that they did try to include it. Bit of a shame it couldn't of been finished, I heard the campaign wasn't very good though.

I think it's weird, like they didn't finish it, but still kept the finished campaign in their game files.

This is just crazy, cant believe no campaign for them. they are missing out on a great campaign.

RepBandit What is a COD series without single player.
Stupid in my opinion.
They always had good story lines

A majority of people buy COD for multiplayer anyways. I've never heard of someone buying a Call of Duty game to play the campaign, and only the campaign.

If you want it that bad, then its time to upgrade to Next Gen.

Doing it so people will actually move on to next gen (Maybe a marketing gimmick to bring in more xbone and ps4 sales) and also the older consoles cant easily run this stuff anymore. They put in low ass graphics and still it could only do 30fps

Stopped playing consoles but it's crazy that they have only focused on next-gen ones for this game.

Blends Why didn't they sell campaign with the game?

The old gen consoles aren't capable enough anymore.
