Modder Discovers COD: Black Ops 3 Campaign On Xbox 360

4.6
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a rather strange release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as it lacks any proper single player campaign as well as split screen co-op. It is also the first game in the series that won’t run at 60 fps. This won’t be surprising though as the game appears to lack plenty of content that is included in the PC, PS4 and Xbox One version of the game.

Recently, one reddit user NeonDiscovery managed to mod the game files on the Xbox 360 to gain access to the single player portion of the game. It confirms that the single player campaign was in consideration at one point during development but it was simply ditched and the work was shifted to just the multiplayer. He also shared two different screenshots from the sp campaign on the Xbox 360, and they definitely look unfinished and ugly.

The modder confirmed that the campaign was unstable on the Xbox 360 and barely managed to run at 30 fps. The screenshots seen below also reveal that it was unfinished, but it was perhaps considered at one point during the development.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 runs at a variable frame rate on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It also only includes the multiplayer and apparently won’t get much support in term of future DLC. It was released at a retail price of $50.

Even if it is in the files, I wouldn't want to play it on the 360 anyway lol.

TrapNation I don't understand the point in them not putting the campaign in the oldgen consoles..

Cus campaign was always enjoyable, I feel like they made a lil bit of the campaign, then realized that it would be a better idea to take it out so people buy new gen console and also buy the game brand new on the next gen.

This looks like ghosts 2 :(

this is ridiculous. they shouldn't have even made it for last gen in the first place. and then on top of that its retail price for not even half the game. it would be okay if the sold it for maybe $20-$30 but really $50 for this wow.

Pro It was pretty obvious that they just could not be bothered to complete the game for xbox 360 and ps3 users...

Not really. Just that they need to get over the old gen and start getting new gen better

Quantum_Skies I don't really understand how the 360 couldn't handle the game. I mean even after the game has been downgraded alot, the graphics shift from somewhat okay to COD 2 graphic that's a pretty drastic change if I do say. Now Let's get this straight BO3 you can now run on walls, choose select specialists, small maps, choppy gameplay, one zombie map, few guns to choose between, matchmaking is horrible, and shit attachments. Doesn't sound very powerful of a game to me just sounds unstable and not worth releasing. You can do more in advance wrfare and that game runs smooth as a baby's ass. Bottom line is saying the game was too powerful to run on the 360 is just a lazy excuse for them saying we didn't feel like making it run in a cleaner fashion.

All game engines now are designed for Xbox One and PS4, its hard to dumb a game with those kinds of specs for systems like the 360 and ps3.

Actually, it is possible. Infinity ward and Treyarch are quite notorious for their excessive amounts of data. On the PC you use up so much RAM for absolutely no reason in comparison to other games. Black Ops 3 is higher than GTA V in terms of size when installing which is ridiculous.

There's two ways that this could be looked at. It could be looked like the fact that they just want to push people to next-gen, but it is probably true that the game would look awful on the 360.

If you owned a current gen and played the campaign you'd understand why.

It's pretty crazy those old consoles would not be able to handle it.
