Yoshida on PSN name changes “we don’t know if we can ever do it”

Sony is looking into one of PSN users’ most-requested features, but it may never happen.

Sony has yet to deliver a top-requested feature to PlayStation Network users everywhere; the ability to change account names. According to Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida, as of right now, the company doesn’t know if it can be done.

I don't understand what is so hard about implementing this feature. I hate my PSN name but I have so much stuff on it I would never create another account.
