Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta kicks off in August, first on PlayStation

4.7
The Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta will kick off this August, first on PlayStation 4.

Treyarch tweeted the news this afternoon.

Those who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One will receive automatic access to the beta. A tester for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 isn’t in the cards.

The world premiere of Black Ops 3 Zombies will take place at San Diego Comic-Con tomorrow and Activision is expected to drop news on the Collector’s Editions alongside the reveal.

The premiere will occur at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm UK during a panel hosted by Treyarch’s Zombie director, Jason Blundell and lead writer, Craig Houston.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 releases on November 6 for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

justchilling Call of Duty is going downhill, I'll still try out the beta if it's open though.

What I take from it is that you gotta preorder the game to get the beta. You never know it might be open.

preorder and cancel! takes 5 min...

The Exclusive scheme is such a cancer for the gaming industry as a whole it's really what we do not need.

TLA I might have to get my self a PlayStation now.

really? just so you can have the beta for what a week early and dlc a month early? is it really worth spending £250+ on a PlayStation

That and the fact that COD exclusivity was one of the main reasons people were getting the One. With that gone I really don't see why someone would buy such a complicated, ugly console meant for Netflix and TV.

Um. COD has been going downhill for years. I don't think most of the people who bought xbox one bought it just for cod

I would expect them to release first on Xbox One. :(
Well, looks like we have to wait a little bit.

I'm sure ps4 have a deal with the makers of the game, they even want to change MLG to the Playstation platform
