PSN maintenance scheduled for over nine hours on Monday

The PlayStation Network will go down for scheduled maintenance next week.

Sony has announced the next round of PSN’s scheduled maintenance.

This one is a bit long, clocking in at nearly ten hours. It begins Monday, May 11 at 7:30pm PDT / 2:30am GMT and ends Tuesday, May 12 at 5:00am PDT / 12:00pm GMT.

It will affect the PlayStation Store, PSN account management, and PlayStation Video. Online play will only be available if you’ve signed into your account within 24 hours prior to the downtime.

9 Hours is just dreadful.... I would be pissed. It hasn't been offline that long since Christmas, lol.

Ummm yes it does, I can recall atleast 3 times where they took it offline for maintenance when the 360 was out. Now XBL just gets taken offline by a bunch of script kiddies who think their cool because they can DDoS.



Yeah lol I'm an Xbox player for life but Xbox goes down all the time unexpectedly. I'd rather have scheduled maintenance than random downtimes. Just not for 9 hours...


No your all wrong, Xbox doesnt go down on maintenance they do it while were all online. Yeah some kids take it down and SOME users have issues but its dealt with straight away. Xbox NEVER has 9 hours down time.


im seeing problems with xbox right now thats why im with ps4

That is one long bit of downtime. Feel sorry for the users that won't be able to get online, but at least you can get online.

Clearly you haven't read the article lol, they can play online if they sign "within 24 hours prior to the downtime".
