Xbox Live Gold 12 month subscription price cut to $40

4.7
Microsoft is currently offering $20 off a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Normally the price of a yearly subscription will cost you $60, but a promotion is currently going on through the Microsoft Store offering it to you for just $40.

There is no clear information on whether this is just a temporary promotion or when it will end. This offer is only valid to US customers.

Head over to the Microsoft Store to pick up your 12 month subscription to Xbox Live for just $40!

Inq This is really cheap and I don't think I have ever seen sale on XBL so this is good and hopefully they consider keeping the price at this.

Doubt they will keep the price @ $40 because if they do they will have to reprint 100,000s or even millions of prepaid memberships.

They've done it before. MS used to sell 1 month cards for like $7, and then decided to jack up the prices for LIVE. All they did was continue to sell the old cards until they ran out and printed new cards with the updated price on them.

That is quite cheap indeed, nice to see them having sales on XBL.

Pre-paid cards are still $60 though :/
