The first ever 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 could be back up for grabs

4.6
The winner of the top bid at last month’s 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 auction failed to deliver, but Sony donated the amount to charity anyway.

Back in January, Sony offered a 20th Anniversary Edition PlayStation 4 with the serial number #00001 to the highest bidder. Sony promised to donate whatever amount it receives to charity.

According to DualShockers, Sony revealed today that the winner failed to deliver the amount, which has delayed the sale of that unit.

The unit with the #00001 serial number will be displayed at the firm’s showroom in Ginza, Tokyo, starting February 21.

As for the donation, Sony confirmed that it will donate the bid amount as promised. The money will go to Save the Children charity.

I'm surprised some die hard Sony fan hasn't bid $100K for this yet.

RS4 This is so pointless. Who cares about there serial number?

They will give less than half to charity.

To some people collecting things can give them some sort of pleasure who knows. Also it would be kinda cool to have the very first one ever

I hope they actually donated it.
