Bungie gifts Destiny player recovering from brain surgery Exotic rifle

4.6
The enigmatic Darkness isn't the only foe Bungie is equipping its Destiny players to fight: the former Halo series developer has gifted one of its players with "Fate of All Fools," an Exotic-category scout rifle not seen anywhere else in-game. The reason: This particular player is recovering from multiple brain surgeries by playing and relaxing with Bungie's quasi-MMO shooter, and community manager David "Deej" Dague wanted to help.

Reddit user "Bkbunny87," the player's spouse, posted the whole story on the Destiny subreddit, sharing how the player's doctor recommended video games as a physical therapy tool and how happy the player was to receive his surprise gift. "He has all but worshipped Bungie since we played the first Halo together in high school, and for a household as geeky as ours this is sort of the equivalent of a major sports team sending him something in the mail. Only better," Bkbunny87 wrote. A follow-up post shows the player proudly displaying his new gear.

Enjoy your unique armament, Guardian.

Sickwidit Much respect to Bungie for this they make great games and have always known what the players wanted and I'm sure I don't only speak for myself when I say this was the right thing to do.
Keep it up Bungie the players are watching.

The players wanted Halo 4 not to suck
The players wanted story mode in Destiny
The players as a whole don't care about that guy. We're playing the game as well. Seems like the only way to get this gun is to have brain surgery. Worse than grinding a loot cave for a year.

1. Halo 4 wasn't made by bungie...
2. Destiny does have a "story mode" it's just rather short as they are building on it through dlc
3. This guy just had brain surgery... I think he deserves an exotic scout rifle, don't be so ignorant.
I have to agree with the first guy good on bungie for doing something for this guy.

Really nice thing to do.

You hardly see any other devs giving out gifts for their loyal customers, so to read this is nice

Good luck to this guy, damn. Any surgery, let alone Brain Surgery isn't a joke.
