Xbox One Controller Drivers For Windows PC Coming “Very Soon”

PC users more comfortable with the dual-analog controller for their gaming needs can look forward to some interesting news from Microsoft ‘very soon.’

Windows PC drivers for the Xbox One’s controller are coming “Soon. Very Soon.” said Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb in a response to this NeoGAF post.

Xbox One controller compatibility for PC was initially touted last year for release some time in 2014. Currently, many PC users are settling on the Xbox 360 controller as their weapon of choice, but those looking to upgrade to Microsoft’s newest input device with ‘over 40 improvements‘ can look forward to the incoming news.

The upcoming drivers will allow all existing Xbox One controllers to plug into a PC via USB. Stay tuned for more news soon!

Sony, please release your controller drivers too. My god I've never had a more frustrating time doing anything. The biggest bump in the road for me in the months that I've been playing PC... is from a console.

I beg to differ. Mouses have a lot more sensitivity with a LOT more control. Plus macros.


All about personal opinion. Only games I prefer with a controller are third person and driving games

I loved the controller whilst I still had the console. BUT the bumpers were rediculous, like a kick in the jaw...

Alexyy Should of been done when they released the Xbox one.

I prefer keyboard and mouse anyway.


Yeah that would've been nice if it was done since the release. And I am terrible gaming with a keyboard and mouse but that's because I mainly play Xbox.
