Indie games are great. They are made by small developers and most of the time the developer is closer to the community than these AAA games. There have been amazing indie games in the past. Minecraft, Super Meat Boy, Rust, Banished, Garry's Mod, Don't Starve Chivalry, Kerbal Space Program and more.
Those are all bad games ( subtracting minecraft) all those other games are horrible. Including Gary's mod which I found to be the dumbest games I've ever played.

Lovely graphics styling on it but the trailer here gives you no indication of WTF is going on in it which is slightly annoying.
