Titanfall averages 46.5 frames-per-second on Xbox 360

4.5
The recently released Xbox 360 version of Respawn Entertainment's mech-dropping first-person shooter Titanfall maintains an average unlocked framerate of 46.5 frames-per-second, gaming performance analysis site Digital Foundry reports.

Digital Foundry finds that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall runs at a 1040x600 native resolution, compared to the Xbox One's 1408x792 resolution. The Xbox 360 version boasts an unlocked framerate of up to 60 frames-per-second, along with an option to lock the framerate at 30 FPS to eliminate screen tearing and input lag.

Presentation-wise, Digital Foundry notes that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has "a necessary reduction in texture detail compared to the other versions, but nothing that overtly compromises the look of the game."

The testing results are consistent with pre-release claims from porting studio Bluepoint Games, which promised a framerate above 30 frames-per-second in the final Xbox 360 version of Titanfall.

I wish I had this game I always play it on cousins one.

Ill give em credit because most games on the 360 run at 30FPS so while this is a step up it still isn't butter smooth 60FPS like on the PC and XOne versions. And there is a difference between 60 and 30 and to be honest it's pretty noticeable.

Gossip Does the frame rate even matter? Doesn't change the fact that a game is bad because of its "low frame rate".

It depends on how low the frame rate actually is.

You guys can't be serious saying that you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS.

30 FPS isn't "silky smooth" or anywhere close for that matter. It's about as smooth as sandpaper. If you honestly don't notice a difference, you're trolling. I was pissed when LoL dropped from 100+ to 45 a few days ago, the difference is enormous.

daRealRush That's pretty good. But I really don't see the difference between 30, and 46. Actually, scratch that, I don't even see the difference between 30 and 60.

There is a pretty big difference, especially when playing shooters.
Besides the Xbox One isn't without it's frame rate dips.
