Start menu due to make much awaited return in Windows 8.1 update

4.7
When Windows 8 first rolled onto the scene many users were bamboozled with the removal of the start menu but now they can rejoice. In a upcoming update to Windows 8.1 the start menu will be returning contrary to recent murmurs that it would take until Windows 9 to make it's return. A additional tweak in the future update will be the ability for users to run modern applications in a windows environment as opposed to only metro.

How do you feel about the start menu making a return?

Y'know, if ya hate the lack of the Start button so much why not just use Stardock's 'Start8'? :)

When I had a PC I liked the start menu, Ive used W8 and it sucked without the Start menu. Glad its coming back.

I didn't like Windows 8, and this was one reason why I didn't like it to begin with. But, I still hate it. I would much rather have Windows 7, or Windows XP on my PC, then Windows 8.

Doesn't really change anything for me since I have Windows XP on mine.
