Start menu due to make much awaited return in Windows 8.1 update

When Windows 8 first rolled onto the scene many users were bamboozled with the removal of the start menu but now they can rejoice. In a upcoming update to Windows 8.1 the start menu will be returning contrary to recent murmurs that it would take until Windows 9 to make it's return. A additional tweak in the future update will be the ability for users to run modern applications in a windows environment as opposed to only metro.

How do you feel about the start menu making a return?

i used the start button more than anything. bad decision to take it out in the first place

I have a Mac :D

Just because most computers that run windows (I'm excluding gaming rigs / desktops in general) are poo poo that doesn't mean you can't buy a macbook and put it on ^.^

Most laptops or any windows machine, will outperform a Mac worth twice as much.
Don't get me wrong i use Mac's for video editing, but they are not price efficient.

True, but macs are so much better when it comes to certain things.

So isnt a pc... its called pros and cons
You cant just say a mac is better cuz it does some stuff better, because there are things that pc's do better than macs as well

Mac = overpriced, high quality, long lasting
PC = much more customization, reasonable prices, more apt for viruses and problems

Yeah the specs in a Mac are not worth it at all.

I was thinking about getting a Mac soon for Uni, my friends have them and they seem so great

I have had the start menu now for several months after I updated to Windows 8.1. I thought this was already released, or did I just have the beta?
